Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 ¼ lbs Italian sausage
- 24 oz spaghetti sauce
- 16 oz tomato sauce (2 cans)
- 24 oz cottage cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese slices
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- Various seasonings (Italian seasoning, dried parsley)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375ºF.
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage; drain excess fat and add sauces and seasoning. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, beaten egg, and parsley in a bowl until smooth.
- Layer in a greased 9×13 baking dish: meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, mozzarella slices; repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for another 30 minutes until bubbly.
