  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 24 oz full-fat cream cheese
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Granulated sugar for filling
  • Sour cream for filling
  • Large eggs for filling
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a springform pan and an additional round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy; mix in sour cream, oil, eggs, and red food coloring.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients alternating with buttermilk. Pour into prepared pans and bake for about 18-20 minutes.
  4. For the Oreo cheesecake filling: Beat cream cheese with Oreo filling until smooth; then add sugar and sour cream followed by eggs.
  5. Pour filling over cooled red velvet base in springform pan; bake at 300°F for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  6. Allow cheesecake to cool gradually in the oven before refrigerating overnight. Prepare ganache by melting chocolate chips with heavy cream; pour over chilled cheesecake.
