Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless beef round steak
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes (un-drained)
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 1 chopped yellow pepper
- 1 chopped orange pepper
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the beef round steak and cut into four pieces. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown each steak piece for about 3-4 minutes per side until seared.
- Transfer browned steak to a crock pot. In a mixing bowl, combine stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce; pour over the meat.
- Add chopped peppers on top of the mixture. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until meat is tender.
