  • 1 pound boneless beef round steak
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes (un-drained)
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 chopped green pepper
  • 1 chopped yellow pepper
  • 1 chopped orange pepper

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef round steak and cut into four pieces. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown each steak piece for about 3-4 minutes per side until seared.
  3. Transfer browned steak to a crock pot. In a mixing bowl, combine stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce; pour over the meat.
  4. Add chopped peppers on top of the mixture. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until meat is tender.
